Most research falls apart because the workflow changes every time. Here’s a repeatable approach that keeps you honest and saves time.
1) Start with the ticker page
Open a ticker and skim the high-level context first: what the company is, how the price has moved recently, and any standout metrics. You’re not trying to decide yet—just building a mental map.
2) Zoom out, then zoom in
If the move looks unusual, check the longer time horizon before forming a narrative. Then zoom back in to see how fast that move happened.
3) Save it (or move on)
If it’s worth revisiting, add it to your watchlist. If not, close the tab—no guilt. Your future self will thank you.
Browse the stock list to find a ticker, then use the watchlist as your short list.
